Personal Background/Commitments:

My commitment is to live from a place of wholeness. My purpose is to help people to discover parts of
themselves that have become lost or buried and to assist in integrating these parts into their lives. I seek to
empower people, rather than encouraging dependence on outside support. My goal is in supporting people to
become whole, healthy and happy, capable of moving forward in their lives and contributing in a positive way to
a healthy world.

Educational Background:

• Master of Arts degree in Human Development, St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, August

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a Science minor, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, 1972.

• Studied Reiki, 1996-2000.

• Currently enrolled in the doctoral program of Natural Health, Clayton College of Natural Health, Birmingham,
AL

• Studied shamanism through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies based in California, 1994-1999.
Completed foundation courses: The Basic Workshop, Spirits of Nature, Death and Dying and Divination.
Participated in a one-year intensive course in Chicago under the direction of Myron Eshowsky and Annette
Hulefeld, 1996.

• Studied ceremonial and shamanic healing with Brooke Medicine Eagle, Myron Eshowsky, Wallace Black Elk,
Wind Daughter, Angeles Arrien, Bear Heart, Robert Moss, the Ehama Institute, Herb Stevenson and Patrick
Price.

• Studied and practiced the Sweat Lodge Ceremony with Kendall Rice, River Falls, Wisconsin, 1994-1996.

• Studied The Tarot with Karen Wallace of Victoria, B. C., as a way to support intuitive, spiritual and personal
development, 2003-2004.

• Studied the 6,000-year-old temples on the Island of Malta built to honor the Goddess/Earth Mother in a two-
week, sacred pilgrimage led by Jennifer Berezan and Joan Marler, 2004.

Work Experience:

• Worked with neighborhood-based, community economic development efforts, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1975-
1980.

• Served as Upper Midwest Regional Director of the National Cooperative Bank, 1980-1982.

• Worked as an organization development consultant both inside of corporations and as an independent
consultant, 1982-1996.

• Worked as an independent consultant based in Madison, WI, consulting mostly with natural food cooperatives
nationwide and environmental and community development groups in Wisconsin, 1996-2006.

• Currently focusing on healing, natural health, and teaching.

- Provide wedding and healing ceremonies regularly.

- Teach Reiki Levels I, II and III and provide Reiki healing sessions regularly.

- Facilitate women’s healing circles utilizing guided meditations, the Tarot and ceremonial and shamanic
practices.

- Teach basic shamanic practices, Madison, WI.

Community Involvement:

• Participate in a 7-person shamanic drumming circle that meets monthly to provide personal and spiritual
support to its members and distant shamanic and energetic healing to those who request it, 1997-present.

• Facilitated the All Communities Shamanic Drumming Circle, an open circle that taught and practiced
shamanism twice a month, Madison, WI, 1998-2005.

• Completed two, 3-year terms as a board member of the Williamson Street Grocery Cooperative in Madison,
Wisconsin; serving as the Chairperson of the Owner Relations and Policy Governance Committees, among
other appointments, 2000-2006.

• Facilitated Sweat Lodge Ceremonies at the request of Potawatome elder, Kendall Rice, Cottage Grove, WI,
1998-2006.

• Ordained as a High Priestess by a community of women in a ceremony partially transmitted to me in a
shamanic journey, August 2004 led by Ellen Hufschmidt of Minneapolis, MN.

• Appointed a minister in the Circle of the Sacred Earth Church, October 1, 2006.
